Haja Kadarmideen is a tenured full professor and head of Quantitative genomics, Bioinformatics and Computational biology (QBC) at the Technical University of Denmark since 2017. He has 30+ years’ experience and record of providing leadership in animal breeding & genetics, bioinformatics, quantitative/statistical genetics, and systems biology applied to livestock health and production with a focus on analyses of genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics and metabolomics datasets. The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is an elite technical university, internationally renowned for its high-quality research, business-oriented approach and focus on sustainability. The QBC group within the division of Statistics and Data Analysis at the DTU Compute Institute is a partner in RUMIGEN EU consortium. Haja and his team at DTU participate in experiments and data analyses on IVF embryos produced by distinct groups of epigenetically profiled bull semen to characterize impact of sperm epigenetics in in vitro embryo production. His team conducts the integrative analyses of embryo genomics, transcriptomics and epigenomics datasets using advanced bioinformatics, multi-omics and biostatistical analyses. The project runs for 4 years from June 2021 until June 2025.
