European Forum of Farm Animal Breeders (EFFAB) / Farm Animal Breeding and Reproduction Technology Platform (FABRE TP)
Dr. Çağla Yüksel Kaya Kuyululu, DVM (Leader of WP9 – Dissemination and Communication)
I have been working for EFFAB for the past 6 years as the Senior Project Manager. Since the beginning of my professional life, I have worked on farm animal breeding with a specific focus on policy assessment, communication and knowledge exchange. I have taken many different roles in many European and international projects from scientific advisory and stakeholder consultancy to communication and extension expertise thanks to my professional experiences in many different areas of livestock and agriculture at a broad range of organizations. At EFFAB and FABRE TP, we aim for a strong business climate for the European farm animal breeding and reproduction sector by focusing on increasing the connections between the animal breeding companies and knowledge providers with other relevant stakeholders, in particular with policy and decision makers all over Europe. We promote research and innovation for sustainable animal breeding and reproduction in Europe.
In RUMIGEN, I lead the work on communicating the project to a broad range of audience, disseminating the results generated by RUMIGEN to targeted stakeholders, and facilitating the knowledge transfer to various actors of the sector. We aim to target breeding sector, scientific community, farm advisors and managers, consumers, citizens and decision-makers. Our main goal is to provide the flow of knowledge between different actors, protect and manage the innovations developed in the project and ensure the sustainability and uptake of project outcomes by scientific community and the market.
As EFFAB team we also support the work on social acceptance of breeding approaches (WP2) and we are leading the task on the preparation of guidelines to adapt breeding objectives for future environmental conditions and conservation of genetic diversity within and among dairy cattle breeds (WP8).
